About Temrah

Podcast
About Temrah Okonski, physical therapist, pediatric and adult care.

Serving Howard County & nearby (Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Prince George's Counties), Maryland

Hi!

I'm Temrah, a physical therapist with over 35 years of experience.  I specialize in working with children who have motor disabilities and adults who need movement support, offering personalized in-home physical therapy.

I truly enjoy working with children, helping them develop their gross motor skills, while empowering you with the tools to enhance your child's movements.

In addition to my experience with children, I have extensive expertise in adult rehabilitation.  My sessions focus on improving your mobility and creating a customized exercise program that fits your individualized needs.

I understand the challenges of caring for a child with disabilities.  That is why I take a holistic approach, working not only with the child but also supporting the entire family.  For caregivers experiencing muscle strain from daily care,  I offer "dual-treatment" sessions:  back-to-back sessions where we address both your child's needs and your own.

On a personal note, I live in Ellicott City with my husband. My father, who has dementia, lives with us for six months out of the year. Our young adult children live on their own.   I am deeply committed to health and wellness (having  competed in 18 sprint triathlons) and I love learning. When I'm not working, you'll find me spending time with family and friends, traveling, gardening, or exploring watercolor painting (why not?). I am also passionate about giving back in our community and in underserved countries.

For those who want to know more!
