Hi!
My name is Temrah, and I have been a PT for more than 30 years. Enhancing Movement is for children with motor disabilities and for adults with movement needs that desire in-home physical therapy. Being a PT for more than 30 years, I know movement!
I love working with children. I will come to your home to work with your child, facilitating gross motor skill development, and will teach you to enhance your child's movements.
I also have years of adult experience. My sessions will focus on teaching you movement strategies, empowering you with ways to enhance your movement, and personalizing your exercise program.
I know how difficult it is to care for a child with disabilities. That is why I take a holistic approach and work with the whole family. I help caregivers with muscle strain related to taking care of your child. This is why I offer 'dual - treatment' care. 'Dual-treatment' care consists of back-to-back sessions first focusing on your child's needs and then addressing your movement needs, for example muscle strain related to taking care of your child.
On a personal note, I live in Ellicott City with my husband. We have two young adult children. I love travelling, am dedicated to my personal health and fitness (to include competing in 18 sprint triathlons), enjoy gardening, being outdoors, and I am committed to volunteering in our community and abroad. I have been a Rotarian since 2015. Rotary is humanitarian service organization. I have served as an Assistant Governor for the past 3 years, and will serve as the Lieutenant Governor for the 2023-24 Rotary year.
